Welcoming Paul Anderson to our District Staff!

A few years back, we added this sentence to our NCD strategic plan.

Because funding matters, we will prayerfully consider whether now is the time for our district to find a godly, principle-driven leader to serve as NCD Director of Resource Development

At that time, we were genuinely unsure if a role like this was right for our district. To our knowledge, the NCD has never had a staff member in a position like it. Moreover, we did not know who might fill this role. Through prayer and many meaningful discussions, God has led us forward with the role and has provided the perfect leader for it.

We are excited to share that Paul Anderson has accepted a call to serve as our NCD Director of Resource development. As many of you know, Paul has a long and fruitful history with our EFCA family. He and his wife Melinda have been part of EFCA churches in Colorado, California, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. For nearly two decades, he served our denomination as the president of Christian Investors Financial (passing the baton to a new president in 2020). He is currently on the board of Camp Shamineau, Cassia (which includes Elim Care), and the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.

In this new part time role, Paul will serve our NCD family in the following ways:

– Strengthen relationships with our district churches and individual donors

– Provide timely wisdom and helpful coaching for the NCD and our congregations

– Walk alongside NCD staff who raise their own support

– Together with our NCD team, serve as a pastor for NCD pastors and church leaders

– Oversee the launch and development of the North Central Foundation

We are so thankful that God has brought Paul to our team. Join us in praying that his ministry will help us serve NCD pastors, church leaders and churches in the days ahead.
