A good question to ask each January, is how can we start out this new year with a mission focus? It is always important for mission teams and mission-minded people to know what events are coming up so they can sharpen their tools. This month I want to highlight three events that you might consider attending.

Spiritual Conversations for the Non-Religious

This event is sponsored by Transform Minnesota and they have invited Steiger International to lead this seminar. Steiger works in over 100 cities around the world to reach the next generation of youth for Jesus Christ.  Aaron Pierce, the International Director for Steiger, and Filipe Machado, the North America and Asia Pacific Director for Steiger are two of the scheduled speakers. They will be meeting  January 26th from 9-2pm at Calvary Lutheran Church in Golden Valley, MN.  Register on their website – group discounts available.

MC2 Midwest Conference on Missionary Care

The aim of MC2 is to inform, inspire, and educate the church in providing effective care to their overseas cross-cultural servants and their families. This event’s theme is “E3 (XZY) – Engaging, Empowering, and Encouraging Today’s Missionary Generations.” Calvary Church in Roseville, MN will be hosting this two-day event on February 17 & 18. More details and registration on their website.

Perspectives on the World Christian Movement Class

Perspectives is a fifteen-lesson course exploring different aspects of God’s global purpose. It examines the story of God fulfilling His promises from four vantage points or “perspectives”— Biblical, Historical, Cultural, and Strategic. The course will start January 17, 2023, at Westwood EFC in Saint Cloud, MN and is sponsored by Reach Global. Visit the website for details and registration.
