Since the North Central Foundation began back in 2022, there have been 22 grants made to 21 churches for a total of over $212,000. Something to highlight is that nearly a third of the funds granted have been in the last six months and all of those were direct investments in people through residency and internships. This spring, the North Central Foundation approved 7 grants totaling over $72,000! Praise God for how he is tangibly using these generously given funds! 

Here are some highlights –

• A 2nd-year pastoral residency at Swan Lake EFC in Cottonwood, MN for Cooper Martens. 
• A part-time 1-year residency for Richard Roszel in Cornerstone EFC in Pipestone. Richard stepped in after the sudden death of associate pastor Ryan Brown.
• A half-time 1-year pastoral residency for Zack Melvin at Grafted in Edina. Grafted is a messianic church plant that is a joint NCD/Chosen People Ministries project.
• An 8-week internship for Brennan Shea at Skandia EFC in Balaton. Brennan is a Moody student from Iowa with an EFCA background and who has an interest in full time ministry in the NCD/EFCA after graduation. 
• A residency to another NCD church to establish a residency for a member of their body who is considering a move from the marketplace to full time vocational ministry. 
• A 2-year residency for Thor Anderson at Rock Hill in Duluth. 
• A 1-year internship for Micah Annerud at Morris EFC in Morris.

We are continuing to talk with churches about residencies and internships, and have some more detailed conversations underway with two additional NCD churches that we hope will also bear fruit in the next 30-60 days. We are excited to see the continued fruit of these grants in both the residents and interns as well as the churches and communities they serve in the years to come.
