I thoroughly enjoy getting to know the servants of Jesus that God has brought to the NCD to help build up his church in love. Women serve in so many different leadership positions in the NCD, and I love pouring into people who are pouring into others. I keep meeting women who are new to their roles and women who have been faithful for a long time who are simply new to me. The more women leaders I meet, the more I can see and hear how I can come alongside to encourage or equip individuals. Over time, I’d like to develop clusters and networks geared toward the wide array of women in leadership who can know and help each other.
Will you help me know the women leaders among us?
Women leaders in our District can reach out to me, and I am eager to serve, encourage, and minister in any ways I can. I’m eager to invest in the next group of women leaders. I’m considering developing a network or cluster for three different groups:
1) Women Leaders Who are New to Church Staff in People-Oriented Roles
Last year, I led one cohort monthly via Zoom for women who were new to ministry on a church staff in the past three years whose roles were primarily people-oriented.
Are you a woman in this kind of role? Are you a pastor or ministry leader who serves with a woman who fits that description with whom you could connect me? There are unique challenges that come in the early years of being on staff at a church, and I’d love to be an encouragement and help.
2) Women’s Ministries Leaders
The needs of Women’s Ministry Leaders who serve on a staff part or full-time and the needs of Women’s Ministry Leaders who volunteer as Deacons or Coordinators have areas of shared need and areas of different needs. This is my greatest area of personal ministry experience and an area of significant passion. I didn’t start with a network of Women’s Ministry Leaders, in part, because I didn’t want it to confuse people since my role includes but goes beyond this demographic to areas like Care, Worship, Childrens, Small Groups, and beyond.

3) Women in Ministry Leadership
There are periodic networking opportunities for women who are serving as leaders in NCD churches.
Please note: Children’s Leaders (male and female) now have a quarterly network that meets in person, and Youth Leaders (male and female) have monthly clusters that are geographically-based. If you are or know a woman leader serving in one of those roles, I’d be happy to point them toward existing opportunities to get to know other leaders in similar ministry roles.
For any woman in ministry leadership, contact me and we can meet to talk! I’ve also provided networking opportunities during existing NCD conferences as a way for women leaders to meet each other and benefit from the helpful training and connection offered to everyone in our district at things like the Annual District Conference in the Cities or the Fall Teaching Conference at Camp Shamineau.

Women in Ministry Leadership Networking on Sunday, October 6 from 8:15-9:15 pm. When you attend the conference, there is no additional cost to you to come early for this! Simply check the box in the registration form to let me know you are coming.

Pre and Post Fall Teaching Conference, you could participate in the Pathways Training if you would like to be better equipped to study the Bible by doing it together.
