Earlier this month (January 2026), Steve Austvold and I attended ReachGlobal’s Ministry Leaders’ Network in San Antonio, Texas. It was an encouraging 3-day event in which we connected with Free Church ministry leaders from around the country who have a strong focus on missions. Several ReachGlobal leaders were also present, and I very much enjoyed reconnecting with my former co-workers.

There were several wonderful speakers, and I found a lecture on the importance of doctrinal alignment especially relevant these days. Adam Kane (Executive Pastor of North East Bible Church in San Antonio) gave the talk. In it he stressed the importance of making sure our ministry partners are in alignment with the beliefs of our church. Theological drift is a reality in ministry, and we need to base our ministries on sound biblical doctrine.

We also came away with a great resource. Kyle Donn (Mobilization Pastor at Community Bible Church in High Point, NC) shared his Global Ministry Database template with the network. This template is a tool churches can use to keep track of missionaries, ministry partners, and short-term trips members of the church have been on. It chronicles years of important information and makes it easy to pass on information across pastoral and mission team leader transitions. Kyle has generously made the template available for anyone to download and use. Feel free to download your own copy. We hope it will be a blessing to your church.

Ramadan is February 18-March 20 th this year. The Muslim world remains one of the least reached areas of the world. As they observe this month long fast, we Christians can use this opportunity to remember to pray for them. 30 Days of Prayer offers booklets to help us pray for Muslims during this month. If you would like to purchase copies for your church, you can do so here.
