Dear NCD pastors,
We would like to introduce you to our guest cabin, the Austvold Hytte (which means guest house). The cabin is on Swan Lake, southeast of Fergus Falls, MN. It is one mile off of I-94 and is about three hours northwest of the Twin Cities. The cabin is made available for both pastors and missionaries to use.
Our cabin has one bedroom with a double bed, and the living room has a double futon and single futon. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, and a coffee maker. There is no dishwasher, but there are plenty of dishes and pans to use. The bathroom has a shower, and while there’s no AC, there are ceiling fans in every room. Wireless internet is available but no TV or phone.
We have a Lund fishing boat with a 6hp, 4 stroke motor which you’re welcome to use; there are seat cushions and life jackets for you to use as well. We also have a paddle boat for out on the lake. You can fish off the dock as well, but you’ll need to bring your own fishing rods.
For anyone staying at the cabin, we ask that you clean it before you leave. We do not charge for staying at the cabin; however, if you would like to give an honorarium toward our support, that would be appreciated.
Some people come for a weekend stay, some come for a week. Some people who come return year after year. We have dates open for this summer, so let us know if you are interested or would like further information. Please email Steve: steve.austvold@ncdefca.org.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Steve & Kathy Austvold, NCD Missions Mobilizers
